Tipis, tents, and playhouses: a place of their own

Around the age of three, a child looks for a place to retreat to. Not to hide, but to have their own territory. An enclosed corner changes many things: they read there, they calm down there, and they take what matters to them inside.

🏕️ Pre-assembled, ready to go

The children's tipi and royal play tent open and close in just a few seconds. This is the solution when you want a permanent corner in a bedroom, without the hassle of building. The foldable baby beach tent serves the same purpose outdoors, with the added benefit of shade.

🔨 Build-it-yourself

The buildable kids' playhouse kit and the playhouse construction kit with ultra-durable connectors flip the logic: the assembly itself is the game. They build it, it stays up, they start over on a larger scale. The finished playhouse is only half the fun.

🧘 For relaxing

The sensory hammock and the modular foam play sofa meet another need: rocking and gentle pressure calm many children at the end of the day. The sofa can also be transformed into an improvised playhouse.

How to choose

1. The space you actually have

Floor dimensions are indicated on each product page. A tipi occupies a corner permanently: measure before you buy, as this is the primary cause of disappointment with this type of product.

2. Pre-assembled or build-it-yourself

Two different products. A tipi is a space; a playhouse kit is an activity. If you are looking to keep them busy during the holidays, get the kit. If you are looking for a reading corner, get the tipi.

3. Indoor or outdoor

Not everything is for outside. The beach tent is designed for the outdoors, while the tipi and foam sofa are made for indoors. Usage is specified on each product page.

Tip: don't furnish their playhouse for them. A cushion, a lamp, and let them decide the rest. The point of the place is precisely that they get to decide what goes inside it.

Frequently asked questions

📐 How much space should I allow for?

Floor dimensions and height are indicated on each product page. Also consider a passageway around it: a tipi tucked against two walls loses its main appeal, which is the ability to walk all the way around it.

🧒 From what age?

The desire for a place of their own appears around two or three years old. For buildable kits, the minimum age is higher because they require assembly: it is specified on each product page.

🌧️ Can they be left outside?

Only the beach tent is intended for outdoor use, and not for being left there permanently. Tipis and foam sofas are indoor products: humidity will damage them quickly.
