Wooden mobiles: the first object they truly look at
A newborn sees clearly at about thirty centimeters and spends most of their time on their back. The mobile is, quite literally, their only show. That is why it matters more than any other room decoration.

How to install it
1. At thirty centimeters, no higher
Too high, and it is blurry and the baby cannot see it. A mobile placed outside their clear vision distance only serves to decorate the room for adults.
2. Out of reach, always
It is meant for looking at, not grabbing. As soon as the baby pushes up on their arms and reaches out for it, the mobile should be removed: this is usually around five months.
3. Not above the face
Shift it slightly, preferably towards the feet or to the side. An object suspended directly above the face is neither comfortable to look at nor recommended.
Tip: when they grow too old for it, don't put it away. Hung on a wall, above a dresser or a reading corner, the same mobile can stay in the bedroom for years.
